Wayne County Speedway’s season was to start back on April 4th and now for the seventh week, one was a scheduled week off but it would have also been rained out, late morning storms and rain falling into the early afternoon on Saturday, once again forced Owner/Promoter Jason Flory to cancel the races for Saturday evening.
Orrville’s Historic Oval has a busy week coming up as the All Star Circuit of Champions head to the 3/8 mile oval on Sunday, May 24th for the Rick Susong Memorial for a $7,500 winners share for the feature win. Last season saw Bryce Lucius, Kasey Jedrzejek and Henry Malcuit collect their first ever ASCOC wins at Wayne County Speedway. The Flynn’s Tire & Auto Modifieds, the Canton Glass House Super Stocks and the JoyRide Transport Sport Compacts are also on the racing card for Sunday.
Then Thursday night May 28th, the World of Outlaw Late Models roll in for the Lonewolf 40 paying $12,000 to win with many contingencies all the way through the field plus $50 for each lap led. The UMP Modifieds will add to the excitement for the Whitley, Gahm and Rayburn 20 with $2,000 going to the feature winner plus many other contingencies going to the drivers also.
Gates will open at 3 pm with hot laps at 6 pm and racing at 7 pm for both races.
