World of Outlaw Late Models Return to Wayne County Speedway for the First Time in Seven Years on May 28, 2026

Orrville, OH — Wayne County Speedway is excited to announce that the World of Outlaw Late Models will return to the historic Orrville oval on Thursday, May 28, 2026—their first appearance at WCS since 2019 and a long-awaited moment for late model fans throughout the region.

“With all of the incredible action in our weekly late model division at WCS, we wanted to give our local drivers the chance to race with some of the best in the country,” stated WCS owner and promoter Jason Flory. “This is a huge opportunity not only for our fans, but for the talented late model teams that compete with us every week.”

The 2026 season is shaping up to be one of the most thrilling years yet for late model racing at Wayne County Speedway. The World of Outlaws event joins a powerhouse lineup that already includes the Summer Nationals Hell Tour stop and the fan-favorite Don & Hans Gross Memorial, both long-standing staples on the WCS schedule.

The last three World of Outlaw Late Model Series events at WCS—held in 2017, 2018, and 2019—were all won by Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series star Brandon Sheppard. His dominance added to the track’s rich history, and fans are eager to see who will rise to the challenge when the Outlaws return in 2026.

More details on the event, including support divisions, times, and ticket information, will be released in the coming months.
