LATE AFTERNOON DOWNPOUR SINKS WAYNE COUNTY SPEEDWAY’S ACTION

Orrville, Ohio
Saturday, July 4, 2026
Mother Nature has been unkind to racing at ‘Orrville’s Historic Oval’ and the Ohio Valley Sprint Car Series so far this season as rain has interfered for the eighth time this season with three of those coming on nights that the OVSCA was scheduled. Just after the gates opened Saturday, a down pour of rain hit and quickly flooded the race track grounds, forcing the cancellation of the nights scheduled racing.
The next action at Wayne County Speedway is set for Sunday, July 12th for the Don & Hans Gross Memorial featuring the DIRTcar UMP Summer Nationals Hell Tour Finale along with the UMP Modifieds as the Canton Glass House Super Stocks and the Joyride Transport Sport Compacts will be in action also.
The OVSCA will try again on Saturday, July 25th for the Christmas in July race. Gates will open at 3 pm with hot laps/ qualifying at 6 pm and racing at 7 pm for all shows.  Check out the tracks Facebook page for the latest information from Wayne County Speedway.
