Sprint Car Meeting On Tap For WCS October 24
Orrville, OH --- Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, OH management would like to remind the Sprint Car industry that the track is exploring the possibility of adding Sprint Cars to their weekly schedule in 2007 and in order to gauge interest, feasibility and support track management will be holding a special meeting for all interested Sprint Car drivers, team owners and sponsors. The meeting will be held on Tuesday evening October 24 at the Royal Star Motel Conference Room beginning at 6:30 PM EST.
WCS management has already gotten feedback since the meeting was first announced a couple weeks ago.
”I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we get a good turn out on Tuesday,” commented Tina Heil, General Manager of WCS. “I've had a few good phone calls and email from drivers and car owners that are in support of what we are trying to do. I've also had very good meetings with a couple business owners that are very willing to support our efforts as well.”
“We want to be a premier race track and adding the sprints to our already strong program is a step in that direction. But... there is a whole lot more that goes along with this. Just like NASCAR, we need the support from not only the drivers, car owners and fans, we need the support of our community. Wayne County Speedway is working very hard to implement programs to work with the local businesses and non-profit organizations that will allow us to bring the kind of shows to Wayne County Ohio that you would typically have to travel 2 - 4 hours to see.”

The meeting will be held in the Conference Room of the Royal Star Motel located at 11980 East Lincoln Way south of Orrville. The motel is located at the corner of U.S. 30 and Rt. 57 (Riceland) just around the corner (east) from Wayne County Speedway. Attendees are encouraged to park in the front of the building. The entrance to the Conference Room is located on the east side of the building.
