WCS Point Chase Heats Up Before Championships

ORRVILLE, Ohio – Saturday night August 12 will be the last ‘weekly’ race for two Wayne County Speedway divisions before their respective Season Championship races are staged the following week for the Fultz Fabrications Late Models & the Hague Crystal Clear Water Mini-Stocks and a huge slugfest is lining up for bragging rights for the title championships in both divisions. It will also be Camera Night with a special cartoon character on hand for the kids in addition to the WCS Chase to the Championship featuring the Fultz Fabrications Late Models, Cashland Modifieds, Thrifty Discount Muffler Pure Stocks & Hague Crystal Clear Water Mini-Stocks.

Going into the Saturday September 12 race for the Fultz Fabrications Super Late Models Jason Flory of Creston, OH leads the current point chase in his Joe McIllvaine Trucking, Medina Mountain Motors, Ray’s Garage sponsored Mastersbilt Race Car/SMS Engines #02 over Charlie Duncan, Clint Coffman, Chet Alexander, J.R. Gentry, Ryan Markham, Blaine Aber, Dave Hornikel, Rick Bond and Wes Morrison, Jr.

In the Hague Crystal Clear Water Mini Stocks Ed Ray of Wooster, OH leads the point chase driving his Ford Escort GT #2 sponsored by Smythe Cramer (Gloria Braun), Honeytown Auto and MJC Enterprises. Ray leads over Neil Nisly, Cody Rinard, Charlie Ray, Mitch Reichard, Bo Yarnell, Matt Wohlford, Dale Beckett, Jr., Steve Miller and John Raber.

Gates open at 4:00 PM, hot-laps/qualifying at 6:30 PM and racing at 8:00 PM. General admission prices are adults $12.00, senior citizens $10.00 and 15 and under admitted free.

Next Saturday night August 19, 2006 at Wayne County Speedway it will be Back To School Night in addition to the WCS Chase to the Championship Season Championship races for the Fultz Fabrications Late Models & the Hague Crystal Clear Water Mini-Stocks. Gates open at 4:00 PM, hot-laps/qualifying at 6:30 PM and racing at 8:00 PM. General admission prices are adults $12.00, senior citizens $10.00 and 15 and under admitted free.
